Hydrovent; cool in any situation.

Fibre-diagram.jpg

The Hydrovent fibre has a multi-channeled core which wicks perspiration from the skin and rapidly transfers it to the garment's outer surface for quick evaporation. This effective combination allows Hydrovent to provide a highly breathable microclimate keeping you dry and comfortable.

Any garment worn next to the skin or during exercise benefits from moisture management properties.

Fabrics which wick moisture rapidly help :

- to regulate body temperature

- to improve muscle performance

- to delay exhaustion

hYDROVENT ENHANCES PERFORMANCE, COMFORT AND DURABILITY

As consumers place increasing importance on the active intelligence of garments, it is vital for manufacturers to respond and improve the technological features of their collections. One area highlighted to be a key performance criterion, and therefore set to grow significantly, concerns moisture management. Hydrovent technology has been developed to embrace this demand by providing true added value for customers and a crucial point of differentiation for manufacturers.

Designed to change the way we view comfort, Hydrovent raises our expectation levels from a fabric by delivering ultimate functionality.

  • mULTI FIBRE TECHNOLOGY

  • Extreme drying capabilities

  • Moisture away properties

  • Easy to maintain and wash

Hydrovent cool in any situation.

Hydrovent is a high-performance yarn incorporating a multi-channel core which enables moisture to be managed away from the skin quickly and reduces fabric drying times. This combination of attributes provide a highly breathable microclimate allowing Hydrovent technology to be particularly suited to enhance the performance of garments such as sportswear, intimate apparel and socks.

Indeed it is without doubt that garments with Hydrovent at their foundation deliver the high levels of active functionality required to meet the demands of today's modern lifestyle.

Combining the best inquality and performance Hydrovent technology constantly manages moisture away from your skin, keeping you dry and comfortable.

The multi-filament polyester fibre matrix of Hydrovent has, at it’s core, a multi-channelled structure designed to wick away perspiration from the skin. This moisture is then rapidly transferred to the garments outer surface for drying, preventing both irritation and odour.

Hydrovent performance through innovation

Hydrovent technology presents us with the ideal yarn to enable the production of garments that are engineered to provide technical advantages coupled with an excellent moisture management system.

Hydrovent effectiveness; the results.

Absorption and Evapouration

Testing method:

  • Weighed specimens of fabric are immersed in water at 20C (+/-3) for 20 minutes and then centrifuged at 700rpm for 15 (+/-1)
    seconds.

  • The samples are re-weighed before being placed in a conditioned atmosphere of 20 (+/-2) C and 65 (+/-4) % relative humidity for a period of 3 hours after which they are re-weighed again.

  • Absorption and evaporation are linked properties.

  • Absorption represents the increase in weight after immersion in water and being spun. The higher the number, the greater the amount of water (perspiration) the garment retains.

  • Effective moisture management fibres demonstrate high absorption percentages.

  • Evaporation is understood by calculating the percentage of moisture remaining in the sock after it is left to dry under set conditions.

  • The lower the percentage, the dryer the sock will be.

  • Effective moisture management fibres display low evaporation percentages.

Drying Rate

  • Testing method:
Approximately 0.5ml of water was placed on the underside of the fabric and the drying rate determined over a period of 60 minutes.

  • The time required for the fabric to achieve 100% drying was calculated by extrapolation of the drying rate by means of linear regression.

  • Effective moisture management fibres exhibit fast drying rates.

Wicking Rate

Testing method:

  • Wicking is a measure of how easily water spreads within the fabric and is measured with a vertical strip of fabric dipped into distilled water.

  • The warp ‘distance wicked’ above the starting level is recorded in millimetres after 5 minutes of immersion.

  • Effective moisture management fibres illustrate greater wicking distances.

Hydrovent technical yarns are constructed with qualifying Hydrovent fibres and are woven in accordance with Exceptio’s approved standards for the Hydrovent brand. Hydrovent sets strict guidelines regarding yarn composition assuring the performance attributes of the fabric. These requirements, including testing at each and every stage of production, ensure the rigorous standards of our certification requirements are met.

Be not afraid of greatness is interpreted as striving for excellence is something that one need not fear and we, at Exceptio, agree. To that end, Hydrovent technology, in our effort endeavour for greatness, has been tested and perfected to ensure the delivery of optimum levels of comfort all day, every day.

Only Hydrovent technology garments carry the certified brand swing ticket allowing your customers to be secure in both their, and your, choice. Hydrovent labels are a recognised endorsement, authenticating that the garment has been manufactured under license and guarantees that the high manufacturing standard, required for certification, has been met. It confirms and reassures the garments extreme performance, comfort and durability.

Hydrovent technology employs a variety of consumer communication activities to help build brand recognition and drive sales. Included within these initiatives is the sponsorship of Lorenzo Suding, four times (2009-2012) Italian Downhill Mountain Bike Champion, who wears Exceptio Sports Italian Downhill Pro Hydrovent socks.

“Hydrovent technology delivers a moisture management system dedicated to meet the core demands of today’s performance sports and fast-paced lifestyles, allowing you to perform and feel dry with guaranteed confidence even under extreme conditions.”
